12 students of Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Aktau took part in the study of the local history expedition “Tugan elge tagzym” in Kokshetau from June 11 to 17. Young intellectuals got acquainted with the history of the city, nature, industry and educational institutions and conducted research work. This year the project was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Alashov events and according to it was named “Alash izimen”.
According to the decision of the pedagogical council, 12 students of the best Shanyrak “Akorda” were selected for the expedition, who showed the best results in the 2016-2017 school year. The selected students are not only excellent students, but also they actively participated in school events and social projects.
During the week-long trip the project participants visited the state Kokshetau University named after Sh. Valikhanov, the memorial complex of the Batyrs “Karasai-Agyntai”, the M.Gabdullin Museum, the museum of the researcher, the historian Sh.Valikhanov, the “Aiganym” estate of Sh.Valikhanov’s grandmother, who played a key role in the education of the grandson. Also, the children were lucky
to see the enterprise “KAMAZ Engineering” engaged in the assembly of trucks, JSC “Tynys” and JSC “Kokshetau minerals sulary”, which produces pure mineral water. As many know, Kokshetau is famous for its beautiful nature. The staff and volunteers of Nazarbayev Intellectual School showed young researchers the beautiful sights of the region. The students visited the famous state national park “Burabai”, Lake Kopa and the peak Bukpa.
– Our trip was organized with the help of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics in Kokshetau. They met us in unison, the volunteers became our friends and were together until the end of the project. During the trip, we learned a lot about individuals who made a significant contribution to the development of culture and the history of the Kazakh people. For example, academician, writer, Hero of the Soviet Union Malik Gabdullin. When we were in the museum, my classmates and I learned a lot about his personal life and work. Also it is worth seeing the complex of Batyrs Karasai and Agyntai. They are famous batyrs of the tribe Argyn and Shaprashty. Both were buried on the hill Kulshynbai – tobe. From the high hill where the ashes of the batyrs rest (in 1999 the memorial complex with the mausoleum was build) the Ayrtytau steppe opens with pristine beauty framed by the blue mountains, fairy lakes, and today it gives strength, love, hope to people. The erected mausoleum is a symbol of unity, friendship and solidarity of all the people of Kazakhstan, -said the participant of the project Akzhan Akhmetova.
We want to remind that the patriotic research local history project “Tugan elge tagzym” was launched in 2012 on the initiative of Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools. The project is designed to shape the interest of students in their native country, to strengthen the sense of patriotism. A special feature of educational trips is the exchange of routes between Nazarbayev Intellectual schools for acquaintance and research on the regions of Kazakhstan. Every year students of intellectual schools
visit different cities in order to familiarize themselves with history, industry and research. During the expedition students fill out a diary in which they share their impressions and information. Students were sent from Aktau for the second time. In 2016, our students visited Astana. This year the project involved more than 200 children throughout the country.
